Hosting Events

For residency purposes, events are gatherings including 5 or more non-resident attendees.

House culture + safety

Please make guests aware of our Safer Spaces Policy. Guests should also be covid vaccinated if medically able, and preferably rapid test before attending events here even if vaccinated.

Nudity is optional at Linwood. Make guests aware our house supports body positivity and doesn't do purity culture. All are welcome to bare as your comfort in your skin, environment, and comrades allows, though for hygiene please maintain a barrier between nude bits and the furniture (such as a small towel).

When to check in with chat/other residents:

  • If planning a new event, try to give at least 24 hours notice as a courtesy to other residents when feasible, or check in with house chat if a sooner event is desired
  • If events require use of specific communal spaces / set up of equipment in a communal space
  • If planning a kink event
  • If planning a public event in the residency house

Cleaning

The hosting resident is responsible for ensuring all prep and cleaning happens before and after their event. Please prioritize ensuring the kitchen is cleaned and usable by other residents, and that communal spaces are left tidy--refold blankets, fix cushions, and ensure all 'matter out of place' (aka moop) finds its home. If guests spend the night, wash the sheets and blankets as needed and remake the guest bed so it's ready for the next guest.

These spaces are available for communal use by residents and for resident events, sleeping facilities are noted by space.
